Built by U.S. turbine manufacturer Marine Turbine Technologies (MTT) and produced between 2000 and 2005, the MTT Turbine Superbike, also called the Y2K Turbine Superbike, is a motorcycle with wheels. Powered by a Rolls-Royce-Allison Model 250 gas turbine engine, the Y2K Superbike is capable of producing 320 shp (240 kW) at 52,000 rpm, with a top speed of more than 227 mph. This superbike remains the most powerful production motorcycle in the Guinness Book of World Records, as it extracts thermal energy from exhaust gases and converts it into power.
